Steadily, it’s looking like Wizkid‘s “Made In Lagos” Album is almost upon us with a track on it, “Joro” to be released soon 🔥🔥
It’s Wizkid’s first album since his 2017’s project, Sounds From The Other Side. While SFTOS didn’t fly and meet up with expectations, expectations are high for his Made In Lagos album and we hope it will exceed the records of his 2014 album Ayo.
The Album “Ayo” remains one of the Best 5 Albums on Apple Music 😳 Wow, right? Wizkid is that bad 🙌
But what edge does Wizkid’s Made In Lagos have? What is it offering? What should we expect? Will Wizkid perform this time?

1. Wizkid’s Made In Lagos Is Purely Sounds From Naija Side

While his last album was a diverse project with a lot of cultural influences, from the name of the album, “Made In Lagos” to the names of the songs (Joro), Wizkid recognised his last album, Sounds From The Other Side failed to make any long lasting impact and thus, has decided to reference the city he started from.

2. The Album Has Mighty Featurings

While on an Instagram live few months back, Wizkid said he has been making music with Teni, his frequent collaborator, Shaydee, Chinko Ekun and last month, ace producer, Kel P revealed Wizkid and Burna Boy have a song together.
All these erases the notion that Made In Lagos will contain no features. It will and might also feature a couple of foreign acts as well.
The Starboy was still seen in the studio with Damien Marley. So who knows if a Drake x Wizkid might be on the project as well.

3. Made In Lagos Might Be Wizkid’s Best So Far

Wizkid for sure has been talking a lot about Made In Lagos for over a year now and you know when Wizkid takes his time with a project, you know it will be flames 🔥
It took him years before his sophomore album, Ayo dropped and we all know how he hyped his first single last year, “Fever” and how we all waited for the release of the song.
“Fever” was one of the best songs last year and so when Wizkid said in a caption weeks back detailing Made In Lagos as the “Best I’ve ever Made”, we all know Wizkid is not joking.
The Starboy has been off the top spot for a while now with Davido ruling in 2017 and narrowly lost to Burna Boy in 2018. The success of WizKid’s Made In Lagos could have a tremendous impact on who will emerge as the best this year with Burna Boy’s African Giant due for August.
So guys, here’s a question for you all 👇

Can Wizkid’s New Album Beat That Of Burna Boy & Davido?

Let’s hear from you all on this.
