State governors are divided over the disputable issue of state and neighborhood government police. A gathering between President Muhammadu Buhari and the 36 state governors simply finished at the Presidential Villa Abuja.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum and Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, disclosed to State House Correspondents that however state police was on the table, the governors did not take an assembled position in light of the fact that the budgetary limit of the states was not the equivalent. State and nearby government police was one of the key proposals of the Presidential Panel that researched affirmed human rights maltreatment by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad. The panel presented its report to Buhari a week ago.
