The Lagos State Government has said it will build up six Air Quality Monitoring Stations over the state, to check air contamination.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Mr Abiodun Bamgboye, made this known on Friday, during the Celebration of the 2019 World Environment Day.
As indicated by him, the legislature would keep on teaming up with nearby and universal governments and offices for the advancement of approaches and projects went for improving surrounding air quality in the state.
"Entirely outstanding among these joint efforts is the World Bank Pollution Management and Environmental Health program, whose first segment is the foundation of an Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Network for Lagos State," he said in an announcement.
He said that the 2019 World Environment Day, with the subject 'Air contamination - A matter of grave concern', was devoted to spreading mindfulness about the threats of air contamination.
